The situation
LC1 Productions has made commercials, corporate videos and nonprofit and healthcare stories across the Monterey Bay area for more than 10 years, from a 1,600-square-foot studio in Salinas. Founder Luis Contreras wanted two things from the new site.
The first was SEO. When a business in Salinas searches for video production, LC1 should be the first name it sees, and the old site had issues standing between it and the top of its category.
The second was the look. A video company’s website is its first sample. It has to feel as finished as the films, which made this a full website redesign, not a refresh.
What we built
- A premium design that opens on LC1’s own production imagery, with a dark, gold-accented frame that lets the footage and the crew set the tone
- A page for each service, so each one can rank on its own: commercials, corporate video, social media reels, promotional video, corporate events, sports videography and agriculture video, plus the podcast studio and professional headshots
- A Monterey page and a clear list of the areas LC1 serves, from Salinas and Monterey to Carmel-by-the-Sea, Watsonville and Santa Cruz
- Answers to the questions people ask before they hire a crew: how far ahead to book, what affects the cost, and how long a project takes
- Get a Quote and the phone number on every page, and a Chat with us button that LC1 can answer live
The SEO work
- We found and fixed the SEO issues that were keeping the site from the top of its category in Salinas, the same groundwork behind our local SEO in Salinas
- Every page is written around how people actually search, starting with Video Production & Videographers in Salinas, CA on the home page
- An SEO plan that lays out what comes next, so each month’s work builds on the last
The dashboard
Behind the site is a private dashboard built for LC1, so the whole business side of the website lives in one place.
- Leads: every quote request in one inbox
- Chats: every conversation from the site, with the option to jump in and reply live
- Insights: Google Analytics in plain language. How many people visited, how many explored the work, how many got in touch and sent a quote request, where they came from and which pages they looked at, over 7, 28 or 90 days
- Alerts: ranking notifications, so LC1 hears when its positions in Google change

Numbers are blurred to keep the client’s data private. For an owner who would rather get the key numbers by text than open a dashboard, there is also our monthly website report.
What it does now
A business looking for a videographer in Salinas lands on a site that looks like the work LC1 delivers, finds the exact service it needs, and can ask a question in the chat or send a quote request on the spot. Every lead, chat and ranking change shows up in one dashboard.
