The situation
Vinyl Cutz Studio prints DTF transfers, embroiders, cuts decals and makes custom apparel from its shop at 838 S Main St in Salinas. Their best seller, DTF gang sheets, can be ordered online any time, so the store had two jobs: make ordering fast on any phone, and show up when people search for printing in Salinas.
That made this a full website redesign on Shopify, from the home page through the cart, plus the SEO, content and tracking to back it up.
What we built
- A home page that opens on a full-screen video of the shop, with Order DTF gang sheets and Get a quote on the first screen
- A trust bar that answers the first questions up front: printed in-house in Salinas, gang sheets online any time, local pickup on Main St
- An open gang sheet price table with 7 sizes, the real price per inch, a lowest price per inch badge and a Build this size button on each row
- A page for each service: DTF transfers, embroidery, stickers and decals, and custom shirts, each with a comparison section, real shop photos, an FAQ and a quote form
- A shop page with collections, sorting and custom-service cards, product pages with a sticky Build bar on phones, and a cart with Shop Pay, PayPal and Google Pay
- A contact page with call, text, visit and hours in one strip, and a short 4-field quote form
- Real photos of the shop and its equipment, from the DTF printer to the embroidery machines, instead of stock images
The SEO and content work
- Keyword research for DTF and gang sheets, embroidery, stickers and decals, and custom t-shirts, then a unique title and description on 24 pages
- 10 blog posts in 4 topic clusters, each answering a question buyers already search for, like what a gang sheet is or how to apply DTF transfers, and each linking to the page where readers can order
- Structured data on every page for the business, its products, its video guides and its posts, so Google and AI assistants read the shop’s details the same way everywhere
- A robots.txt that keeps checkout and duplicates out of search and lets the AI search crawlers in, plus sitemaps submitted to Google and Bing
Built to be measured
Google Analytics 4, Search Console, Merchant Center, Bing Webmaster Tools and Microsoft Clarity are all connected, so the shop can see which searches find it, which products sell and where shoppers get stuck. Store policies, a checkout branded to match the site and guest checkout round out the last step. Every page was tested on 5 phone and tablet widths, and an automated test suite reruns after each change.
What it does now
A customer in Salinas can find Vinyl Cutz in search, see open pricing, build a gang sheet and pay with a wallet they already use, all from a phone. Customers who need embroidery, decals or custom shirts land on a page for that service and can send a quote request on the spot.
More stores we have built are on our ecommerce website design page, and more Salinas work is on our web design in Salinas page.
