AI consulting

AI consulting that starts by telling you what not to buy.

Two hours, your real numbers, and a written plan showing where AI would pay for itself in your business and where it would just add another subscription. You keep the plan whether you hire me or not.

$500, credited in full toward any build you start within 90 days.

The real problem

Everyone is selling you AI. Nobody is telling you what it costs to run.

Every tool you already pay for added an AI feature this year. Every one of them says it will save you time. Some will. Most add a monthly charge and a login you stop opening by March.

The question was never whether AI works. It is whether it works on the specific thing eating your week, at a price that clears inside a year. That is arithmetic, and your business has a real answer to it.

Nobody selling you software has any reason to run that arithmetic honestly. So I run it in front of you. Sometimes the answer is that you should spend the money on a faster website instead, and I will tell you that.

What two hours actually produces.

Not a demo. Not a deck. Three things you can act on.

A map of where your week goes

We walk through your last two weeks. Calls, texts, quotes, scheduling, chasing people who said they would call back. Hours against each one, dollars against the hours.

A ranked list of what to fix

Not everything is worth automating. You get the list in order of return, with the one worth doing first marked, and the ones not worth doing at all marked too.

A written plan you keep

A document with the numbers, the recommendation, the tools involved, what each costs to build, and what each costs to run. Yours to take to any builder you like.

The four places AI pays off for a local business.

After a few dozen of these sessions, the answer usually lands in one of four spots.

The enquiries you never see

Calls after hours. Voicemails nobody returns. Form fills that sit for two days. This is almost always the biggest number in the plan, and almost always the one the owner has never sized.

The same question, forty times a week

Hours, pricing, service area, do you come out to Greenfield. Answering these is not skilled work, but somebody skilled is doing it.

The gap between tools you already pay for

Scheduling here, invoicing there, a CRM you stopped opening. AI integration usually means getting three systems to talk before it means anything clever.

The paperwork that runs on copy and paste

Quotes, invoices, permits, spec sheets. Pulling the same six numbers out of a document and typing them somewhere else is the cheapest thing to automate and the last thing anyone thinks of.

Who this is for.

Ideal fit
  1. 1

You can feel a leak and cannot size it.

Enquiries are coming in and not all of them are turning into booked work. You know it is happening. You do not know how much it costs you.

  2. 2

You are paying for four tools that half overlap.

Three subscriptions, one job, and a spreadsheet holding it together. You suspect one system would replace most of it and you do not know which.

  3. 3

You tried an AI tool and it went nowhere.

You signed up, poked at it for a week, and it never made it into how you actually work. That is a fit problem, not a you problem, and it is worth ten minutes to find out which part was wrong.

  4. 4

You are about to spend real money and want a second opinion.

Somebody quoted you for a build. You want the numbers checked by a person who is not the one sending the quote.

Not the right fit if

You want someone to confirm a decision you already made. You want AI because a competitor mentioned it at a chamber breakfast and there is no specific problem behind it. Or you are looking for free advice, in which case use the concierge on this page. It is genuinely good and it costs nothing.

How it runs.

Five steps. Most of the work is mine.

  1. 1

    You send three things ahead

Your call volume for the last month, the tools you currently pay for, and a rough number for what an hour of your time is worth. That is the whole prep.

20 minutes of your time Intake form

  2. 2

    We go through your week

On a call, screen shared, no slides. I ask a lot of questions about how work actually reaches you and what happens to it after it does.

    90 minutes Live session

  3. 3

    I run the numbers

Hours against dollars. Tool costs against what they would replace. Build cost against how long it takes to pay back.

    2 days Working file

  4. 4

    You get the plan

Written, specific, costed. Including the parts I recommend against and why.

    Within 3 days Written plan

  5. 5

    You decide

Hire me, hire someone else, or do nothing. If you start a build with me inside 90 days, the $500 comes straight off it.

    Yours No obligation

One price. No retainer.

Most people who book this are deciding between spending $1,000 and spending $10,000. The session is worth it either way, because the expensive mistake is not the price of the build. It is building the wrong thing.

What you get instead of an AI consulting firm.

The large AI consulting firms are not built for a business your size. Their smallest engagement is bigger than your whole budget, and the person who shows up to the meeting is not the person who does the work.

The boutique firms are closer, but you are still buying a process. Someone scopes it, someone else builds it, and the thing you signed off on gets handed down a chain.

Here it is one person. I run the session, I write the plan, and if you hire me I build it. That is the whole company. It means I cannot take on twenty clients a month, and it means nobody hands your project to anyone.

Searching for an AI consultant near you in Monterey County turns up mostly firms in San Jose and San Francisco who will take the meeting on Zoom and price you like a tech company. I am in Salinas. I will come to your shop.

Straight answers.

Roberto Cerda, founder of Digital Vibes Design

I am Roberto. I run every session, write every plan, and build every site myself, from Salinas. There is nobody to hand you off to.

What is AI consulting for a small business?

Someone independent looking at how work actually moves through your business, then telling you where software would help and where it would not. It is not a product demo and it does not end in a subscription. The output is a written plan you own.

Do I need to be technical?

No. If you can describe how a customer reaches you and what happens next, that is enough. The technical part is my job.

What if the answer is that I do not need AI?

That happens often enough that I put it in the headline. Usually the recommendation is a faster site and a properly set up Google Business Profile first, because those move booked work more and cost less.

How is this different from hiring an AI consulting firm?

Scale and accountability. A firm sells you a process and a team. I sell you two hours of my attention and a plan I signed. If you hire me for the build, I am the one building it.

Is the $500 refundable?

It is credited, not refunded. Start any build with me inside 90 days and it comes off the price. Go elsewhere and you keep the plan, which is the part you actually paid for.

Can we do this in Spanish?

Yes. The session and the written plan, both in Spanish, written by someone who speaks it rather than run through a translator.

Do you work outside Monterey County?

Most of my work is Salinas, Watsonville, Seaside, Marina, Monterey, Hollister, Greenfield, and Castroville. The session runs fine on a call from anywhere. The in-person part only works if you are close.

Who am I actually talking to?

Roberto. I run every session and build every site myself, from Salinas. There is nobody to hand you off to.

Argue with the AI before you book.

The concierge on this page knows this offer and will tell you honestly whether a session is worth your money. Ask it something hard. Ask it what happens if you do nothing.
