Get found for the jobs you actually want.
Most contractor leads come from three words typed into a phone. We make sure the person typing them finds you first, not a lead-gen site that sells your name to four competitors.

The real problem
You are not competing with other contractors. You are competing with directories.
Search "emergency plumber near me" and the first screen is rarely a plumber. It is the map pack, then a directory that bought the ad, then another directory. Those companies do not do the work. They collect the click and resell it, often to you, at $60 to $200 a lead.
The way out is not outbidding them. It is owning the results they cannot buy: the map pack, which is decided by your Google Business Profile and your reviews, and the specific service-plus-city searches that directories write generic pages for and never actually answer.
That is winnable work. A directory page about water heater replacement is written by someone who has never replaced one. Yours does not have to be.
What contractor SEO actually involves
No retainer for "ongoing optimization" with nothing to show. Here is the actual list.
Google Business Profile
Categories, services, service area, photos and posts set up so you show in the map pack for the work you want, not the work you tolerate.
Review engine
A system that asks every finished job for a review at the right moment. Reviews are the single biggest lever on map pack position.
Service pages that rank
One page per trade service, written to answer what people actually ask, so you can rank for the job type and not just your company name.
Service area pages
Real pages for the towns you serve, with real detail. Not eight copies of the same page with the city swapped out, which Google ignores.
Speed and mobile
Contractor searches are overwhelmingly mobile and often urgent. A slow site loses the call before it loads.
Call tracking
You see which searches turned into calls, so the spend is judged on booked work and not on ranking screenshots.
How we run it
Fixed scope, clear order, and you can see the effect on the phone.
- 1
Scan what you have
We look at your Google Business Profile, your current rankings by town, your reviews and your site speed. You get the findings whether or not you hire us.
- 2
Fix the profile first
The map pack is the fastest win for a contractor and it costs nothing but attention. We do this before touching the website.
- 3
Build the pages that are missing
Usually the service pages. Most contractor sites have a home page, an about page and a contact form, which gives Google nothing to rank for a specific job.
- 4
Turn on the review loop
The part most contractors skip. It compounds: more reviews lift the map pack, the map pack brings more jobs, more jobs bring more reviews.
- 5
Measure in booked jobs
We report calls and booked work, not impressions. If a page is not producing, we change it.
Frequently asked
How long before SEO brings in contractor leads?
Google Business Profile work can move within two to four weeks because the map pack updates quickly. Ranking a new service page in organic results usually takes three to six months. Anyone promising page one in 30 days is either bidding on ads or lying.
Is SEO better than buying leads from a directory?
They solve different problems. Bought leads are instant and rented: the moment you stop paying, they stop, and the same lead often goes to three competitors. SEO is slower and owned. Most contractors we work with keep buying leads while the SEO builds, then reduce it.
Do I need a separate page for every town I serve?
Only for towns you genuinely work in and can write honestly about. Eight near-identical pages with the city name swapped is a pattern Google has filtered for years. Three real pages beat twelve thin ones.
What matters most for showing up in the map pack?
Proximity to the searcher, which you cannot change, then your Google Business Profile categories and your reviews, which you can. Reviews are the lever most contractors underuse.
Do you work with contractors outside Monterey County?
Yes. The local work is Salinas and Monterey County, but contractor SEO is the same discipline anywhere, and the site and profile work is done remotely.
