Why people look for an alternative
Hibu sells websites, SEO, ads, listings and reviews as bundles, and none of the prices are on its site. You get a number from a sales rep, on a term that usually runs 6 to 12 months.
Its published terms say you cancel by phone, at least 15 days before the term ends, and that leaving a monthly website plan early carries a fee. The domain Hibu sets up is registered to Hibu, and cancelling the website cancels it.

Yes. Check your Hibu agreement for the minimum term and any early termination fee first. The domain Hibu provided is registered to Hibu, so ask them to transfer it to you before you cancel. We rebuild the site and point your domain at it, and you own the new site.
Hibu does not publish prices. Its pricing page lists three plans (Establish, Reach and Expand), each with "Request custom pricing," and its FAQ mentions an implementation fee without an amount. Capterra, a third-party site, lists Hibu starting at $449/mo. Get the full first-year total from Hibu in writing.
Per Hibu’s published General Terms, you cancel by phone at (877) 237-6120, at least 15 days before the end of your term or month, or you are billed another month. You can’t cancel inside the minimum term, and leaving a monthly website plan early carries an early termination fee.
Because Hibu does not publish one. Its pricing page asks you to request custom pricing for every plan. The $449/mo figure is Capterra’s listing, not Hibu’s.
No. Starter Presence is month to month and cancels anytime. Local Pro, Online Store and AI Concierge are one-time builds with a yearly renewal for hosting, domain and SSL.
